Over The Course Of Four Years, Eden’s Voice And Demeanour Develop Organically As She Develops From A Young Adolescent To A Nearly Adult Lady. Despite Having More Development Required In Less Pages Than In Many Works, It Was Clear To Me Throughout The Whole Narrative That Eden Was Continually Developing.

I Can Only Image How Challenging It Must Have Been For The Author To Execute. I Will Admit That There Isn’t Much Of A Storyline In This Book. Although The Novel’s Midsection I Found To Be Less Interesting Up Until The Finish Of The Narrative When I Essentially Listened To The Final 5 Hours Of The Audiobook In Virtually One Sitting, The Beginning Begins Out With A Moment Of High Tension.

Although I Don’t Usually Read Novels That Are Character-driven, This One Was Done So Masterfully That I Couldn’t Resist Its Steadfast Allure. The Novel’s Literary Style Was Another Something I Truly Like. While There Were Certain Parts Where I Wasn’t Too Pleased, Other Passages Had The Writing Blowing Me Away.

Eden Is An Amazing And Intriguing Person. She And I Had Such A Difficult Time Together At The Beginning Of The Book, But I Think This Is Why She Made Me Grow As A Person. As The Effects Of Being Raped Start To Change Her Perspective On The World, She Continually Harms Those Who Care About Her, Causes A Lot Of Issues For Herself, And Makes A Lot Of Terrible Choices.

Because Of All Her Destructive Behaviour, It Was Very Difficult For Me To Love Her At First, But I Had To Keep Telling Myself That She Was Just Expressing Her Trauma, And That Even Though People Must Be Held Accountable For Their Actions, I Shouldn’t Be So Quick To Judge Someone Who Is Reacting To Such A Terrible Experience That Will Have Permanently Altered Their Lives.
