The Lorax (Classic Seuss) Hardcover – Picture Book, 12 August 1971 By Dr. Seuss (Author) PDF Free Download.
In This Beloved Children’s Picture Book About Sustainability And Environmental Protection, Dr. Seuss And The Lorax Celebrate Nature.
The Lorax Is Me. For The Trees, I Speak.
Children May Learn From Dr. Seuss’s Well-known Tale To Be Nice To The Environment And To Speak Out For Others. Discover The Splendour Of The Truffula Trees And The Danger Of Taking Our Planet For Granted In This Topical, Amusing, And Upbeat Tale. The Last Few Chapters Of The Book Remind Us That Even A Single Little Seed Or Young Kid May Change The World.
This Book, Which Is Printed On Recycled Paper, Is The Ideal Present For Earth Day And For Any Youngster—or Young At Heart—who Is Interested In Recycling, Environmental Campaigning, Or Just Loves Nature And Being Outdoors.
Nothing Will Improve Until Someone Like You Cares A Whole Awful Lot. It Isn’t.
You Can Tell Something Is Significant When Dr. Seuss Becomes Serious. The Lorax Is An Ecological Warning That Is Still Relevant Today In Light Of The Risks Of Clear-cutting, Pollution, And Contempt For The Earth’s Ecology. It Was Published In 1971 And May Have Been Influenced By The “Save Our Planet” Mentality Of The 1960s. What We’ve Come To Anticipate From The Legendary Doctor Is There In The Lorax: Wonderfully Amusing Lyrics, Marvellously Unique Animals, And Strangely Undulating Artwork. However, There Is More To This Story—a Strong Message That Seuss Begs Both Kids And Adults To Take To Heart.
Our Bodyless, Faceless Narrator, The Now-remorseful Once-ler, Delivers The Tale On His Own. Long Ago, This Cunning Villain Discovers An Area Where There Are Amazing Truffula Trees, Swomee Swans, Brown Barbecues, And Hummingfish. He Eagerly Cuts Down The Truffula Tree Tufts Because He Is Enchanted By Their Beauty In Order To Make And Sell Thneeds In Large Quantities. It Is A Shirt. A Sock, That Is. A Glove, That Is. A Hat, That Is. The Fuzzy Yellow Lorax, Who Talks For The Trees Since “Trees Have No Tongues,” Cautions The Once-ler Again But To No Use As The Trees Soon Vanish And The Inhabitants Flee To Greener Climes. The Lorax Eventually Escapes The Charred Ground (By The Seat Of His Own Hairy Trousers), Leaving Nothing Behind Except A Rock With The Word “Unless” Inscribed On It. Thus, Dr. Seuss Instructs Readers Not To Tamper With Mother Nature Via His Own Vibrant Interpretation Of A Powerful Morality Drama. However, As You Would Anticipate From Seuss, There Is Still Hope Since The Once-ler Managed To Rescue One Truffula Tree Seed! Our Final Opportunity For A Green, Clean Future Now Lies In The Capable Hands Of A Compassionate Youngster. (4–8 Years Old).
Dr. Seuss, Also Known As Theodor Seuss Geisel, Is One Of The Most Well-known Writers Of Children’s Books In History. His Enduring Characters, Tales, And Artistic Style Have Influenced Generations Of Kids And Adults Alike, From The Cat In The Hat To Oh, The Places You’ll Go!. His Works, Including Those He Wrote And Drew Under The Pen Names Theo Lesieg And Rosetta Stone, As Well As Those He Authored But Did Not Depict, Have Been Translated Into 45 Different Languages. Numerous Millions Of Copies Have Been Consumed By People All Over The Globe. The Pulitzer Prize, Eight Honorary Doctorates, And Caldecott Honours Are Just A Few Of The Many Accolades Dr. Seuss Has Received. Three Oscars, Three Emmys, Three Grammys, And A Peabody Have All Been Awarded To Works That Are Based On His Own Tales.
The Only Way To Learn About The Lorax, According To A Little Kid Who Wishes To Do So, Is To Visit The Old Once-ler’s House And Pay Him “…fifteen Cents/and A Nail/and The Shell Of A Great Grandfather Snail…” To Recount The Tale. The Once-ler Explains To The Kid That Everything Started Long Ago, When There Were Many Of Truffula Trees With Vibrant Colours And No Pollution.
The Once-ler Focused On Growing His Company, Constructing A Factory, Delivering An Increasing Amount Of Fruit, And Increasing His Income. The Once-ler Assured The Little Lad, “I Intended No Harm, When I Told Him The Tale. I Did Not, In All Honesty, But I Had To Become Larger. So I Became Larger.
The Lorax, A Being Who Represents The Trees, Seems To Be Complaining About The Factory’s Pollution. The Swomee-swans Were Unable To Sing Because Of The Intense Smoke. They Were Sent By The Lorax To Flee The Pollution. The Humming-fish Was Also Taken Away By The Lorax, Who Also Argued Passionately That The Factory’s Waste Products Were All Poisoning The Pond. The Once-ler, Who Had Become Weary Of The Lorax’s Protests, Exclaimed Furiously At Him That The Factory Would Only Continue To Expand.
They Suddenly Heard A Loud Noise However. The Sound Was The Final Truffula Tree Tumbling To The Ground. The Plant Shut Down When There Were No More Truffula Trees Available. Once-lers’ Relatives All Dispersed. The Lorax Went Away. The Once-ler, An Abandoned Factory, And Pollution Were All That Were Left.
The Only Thing That Remained When The Lorax Vanished Was “A Small Piece Of Rocks, With The One Word…’unless.'” The Once-ler Pondered And Fretted About What It Meant For Years. He Now Informs The Little Child That He Comprehends. Nothing Will Improve Unless Someone Like You Cares A Whole Awful Lot. It Isn’t.
The Once-ler Then Gives The Youngster The Last Truffula Tree Seed And Declares That He Is Now In Control. He Must Sow The Seed And Guard It. The Lorax And The Other Animals Could Then Show Up Again.
Who Would Have Expected That Seuss, In The 1960s, Would Have Already Been Worried About Environmental Degradation To The Extent That He Penned This Amazing And Compelling Tale (Requested By My Kid Two To Three Times A Week)? My Little Child Often Inquires About The Once-ler. Why Is His Body Hidden From View? He Sent The Barba-loots Packing For What Reason? He Removed The Truffula Tree For What Reason? Describe A Thneed. It’s Excellent On So Many Different Levels Since The Teachings Are So Obvious But Subtle. I Almost Cringe When People Ask Me About My Requirements Since I Have So Many (Iphone, Ipad, Mac, Cinema Display, Ps3, Etc.). Who Else Could Have Come Up With A Term As Excellent As Needs? Or Even Gloopity Gloop And Sluppity Slupp. My Kid Asked Me To Play A Snargley Voice On The Whisper-ma-phone For Him Tonight. How Should I Put It? I Can Strongly Suggest It To Everybody Who Reads This Site, But Particularly To The Young Readers. My Only Wish Is That The Valdes And Fukushima Disasters—which, Although Not Entirely Our Responsibility, Our Generation Has Also Made Little Progress In Averting—will Be Relevant To The Generation That Comes After Us.
I Only Hope That While I Eat Humming Fish Sushi And Stroll Through The Grizzled Grass, I Don’t Shine In The Dark.
I’ve Lost Track Of How Many Trolls And Their Eventual Sock Puppet Alter Identities Have Been Sparked By A One-paragraph Review Of A Children’s Book I Didn’t Like. Others Of Their Comments Are Deleted By Me, Some By Gr, And Others By Himself. But What Is It About This Review Or The Book That Causes Such An Exaggerated Response From People Who Are Plainly Mentally Unstable?
I May Simply Not Be A Dr. Seuss Fan, But I Detested This Book. Although It Was Written For Children Rather Than For Me, The Plot Was Dull And The Sentences Were Foolish. My Son Rarely Ever Read It As A Youngster, Therefore It Is Still In Perfect Condition On The Shelf.
Funny Thing Is That Despite Being Merely A Remark On A Children’s Book, It Has Sparked A Lot Of Hateful Responses From A Number Of Individuals Who All Seem To Be Alter Egos Of Michael. He Has Made It His Business To Criticise Individuals (Not Just Myself) For Disliking This Book, Even To The Point Of Joking Around. He Finds It So Enjoyable That He Created A Society (In Real Life, Not Online) To Further Its Goals As If It Were Some Kind Of Holy Book. Fortunately, The Other Reviewers Are More Thoughtful And Reasonable In Their Comments And Don’t Feel The Need To Insult Anybody Directly. To Each His Own. I Can’t Do This.
While Browsing My Reviews, I Saw That Corky And Two Other Individuals (Perhaps The Same Person?) Had Erased Both Their Reviews And Ids. Interesting…..
