I Get The Impression That I Either Adore Elle Kennedy’s Novels Or I Don’t. In The Case Of The Deal, I Was Completely Drawn Into The Narrative Of Hannah And Garrett. I Don’t Often Read M/f New Adult Books, But I’m So Happy I Did! Several People Have Highly Recommended This Series, So I Believe I’m Late In Starting To Read These Novels. She Is A Survivor Who Exudes Confidence And Refuses To Allow What Happened To Her Define The Life She Wants To Lead.

Hannah And Garrett’s Points Of View Alternate In The Dual, Alternating Narrative. Viewing The Narrative From Both Of Their Points Of View Worked Pretty Well. Hannah’s Humour With The Other Hockey Players And Garrett Getting To Know Hannah’s Pals Were Hilarious To Read. It’s Enjoyable To Read A Novel With A Large Cast Of Intriguing Characters And A Plot That Doesn’t Focus Just On The Love Interests Since The Supporting Characters Seem Authentic.

The Plot Is Lighthearted And Seductive, But It Also Explores Some Extremely Serious Issues That Aren’t Avoided But Rather Addressed Head-on. The Plot Has A Few Clichés, Particularly In The Final 20% With Garrett’s Father, But The Deal Is Still A Compelling And Entertaining Read. I Am Aware That Is Absurd. Don’t Criticise Me.) I Seldom Have That Type Of Response To A Book, But I Long For It. I Like Being Sucked Into The Narrative And Feeling As If I Know The Characters Personally.

That Was Simple To Pull Off In The Deal Since Garrett And Hannah Both Came Off As Genuine Individuals. It Seemed Natural How They Spoke, Joked Around, And Carried Themselves. One May Argue That The Two Main Protagonists Seemed A Bit Older Than 20, But Given Their Histories, I Didn’t Find That To Be An Issue. They Responded To Studying And The Discipline Required To Achieve Their Goals With Maturity, Yet They Spoke Like 20-year-olds, And The Mix Really Worked For Me. That Brought To Mind Several Of My Favourite Books From Last Year, Like Kristen Callihan’s The Hook Up And Sarina Bowen’s Ivy Years Trilogy.

The Narrative Had Some Predictable Sections, But Other Portions Really Astonished Me. Garrett And Hannah Communicate With One Another And Don’t Allow Miscommunications Stand In Their Way. You Have No Idea How Much I Like It. Even Though It Gave Me The Need To Spit, The “Dark Moment” When It Does Occur Is Genuine And Comprehensible. Garrett Likes To Taunt Others And Is Brash, Charming, And Self-assured. While He Is Ideal For Hannah, He Is Also Very Trustworthy, Compassionate, And Kind. This Mix Makes Him Seem Relatable And Not Too Perfect.

Hannah Is A Tough Cookie.

Garrett Gets Into Bed And Lays Down, His Head Resting On A Pile Of Pillows. I’ve Never Come Across Somebody Who Uses That Many Pillows To Sleep. Maybe He Needs Them To Support His Enormous Ego.
