To Compute Nation Scores, We Standardised Each Of The 67 Variables On A 0-5 Scale, With The Country With The Most Impunity Receiving A 5, And The Country With The Most Accountability Receiving A 0.

By Scaling The Data At The Indicator Level, We Attempted To Retain The Data’s Original Distribution, Which Means That The Skewness Of Each Indicator Stays Near To That Of The Source. Indicators In Each Dimension Were Then Aggregated Using A Simple Arithmetic Mean, And The Resultant Dimension Average Was Normalised On A 0-5 Scale For Consistency And Comparability.
