One Of The Books I Was Most Looking Forward To Reading In 2022 Was Mad Honey By Jodi Picoult And Jennifer Finney Boylan, And It Did Not Dissapoint! I Really Liked The Book, From The Characters To The Courtroom Drama To The Bees And The Shock That Changed The Narrative’s Course.

Asher’s Mother, Olivia Mcafee, Is A Lone Parent. When Asher Was Six Years Old, Olivia And Asher Relocated To Olivia’s Hometown Of Adams, New Hampshire. Olivia Went Back To Her Father’s Beekeeping Operation To Carry On The Family Business And To Get Away From The Traumas Of Her Boston Marriage To A Heart Surgeon. Lily Campanello Just Travelled To Adams, California, With Her Mother To Flee A Bad Circumstance There. Ava, Lily’s Mother, Is A Single Mother And A Forest Ranger.

Lily And Asher Begin Dating And Eventually Fall In Love. One Day, Olivia Receives A Call From Her Son Informing Her That He Has Been Arrested For Lily’s Murder. In The Back Of Olivia’s Mind, She Remembers Asher’s Father’s Terrible Temper And The Few Occasions She Caught A Glimpse Of That Temper In Asher. Olivia Can’t Believe Her Son Could Or Would Do Anything To Harm Lily.

This One Was Great Fun For Me! The Trial Drama, The Tidbits Of Knowledge About Bees, And The Quaint Atmosphere Of Adams, New Hampshire All Captured My Attention. But What I Cherished Most Were The Personalities. Olivia And Ava, Two Brave Single Moms, Both Gave Up Their Own Desires And Lifestyles To Make Sure Their Kids Were Safe And Cared For. In This Book, Their Fortitude And Selflessness Stand Out, And I Adored Them Both.

The Next Couple Are Asher And Lily, Who Both Experience The Indescribable Joy Of First Love. When Lily Is Murdered And Asher Is The Only Suspect, They Are Each Other’s Strengths And Supporters, And Their Relationship Appears To Be Strong. The Murder Of Lily Occurs Early On In The Narrative, But Throughout The Novel, There Are Flashbacks To Her Time In California And To Her Connection With Asher.

My Favourite Parts Of This Were The Courtroom Scenes. As The Case Swung Back And Forth Between Being In Asher’s Favour And Being Against Asher, I Was On The Edge Of My Seat Every Time A Witness Took The Stand. And The Trial Moments Are When We Discover A Great Deal About Their Connection.

I Really Appreciated Learning All The Bee-related Knowledge. Despite The Fact That I Already Have Two Beehives In My Garden, I Learnt A Lot From This Book. More Significantly, However, I Appreciated How The Facts About Bees Tied To The Events In The Novel. The Way The Writers Incorporated The Facts About The Bees Into The Tale Was Excellent.
