   I was recently poking around on the Internet looking for some interesting Bible tidbits when I came across an old adage on Facebook that I think I’ve seen before. And it was a warning to not be afraid. And I know a lot of people struggle with fear and anxiety, myself included, from time to time. Well, the claim is that there’s this biblical lesson that God says we shouldn’t be afraid. And apparently God, in a sense of poetic mystery, has given us this point 365 times in the Bible. And when we decode that, it tells us that this is a lesson God must want to remind us of.

Every single day. And I read this and I thought, wow, that’s kind of amazing. I mean, it’s certainly not beyond the power of God to do something like that. And the Bible’s this amazing book. But I wondered, is this actually true? And if so, why would God do that anyway? Because what was jumping out of my mind when I read this today is the fact that the Jewish calendar, at the time the Old Testaments and New Testaments were written, it only had 360 days in a calendar year. And while stuff we read on the Internet is normally completely correct and absolutely trustworthy, I figure today maybe we should engage in some kind of skepticism and test our Facebook meme to see if it’s correct or not.
