An Intriguing Domestic Suspense Novel About A Group Of Moms That Disintegrates When One Of Them Is Killed, Causing Turmoil In Their Well Planned Lives.
She Had The Ideal Life And Was The Ideal Wife. To Own It, You Would Murder.
Ciara Dunphy Is Blessed With A Devoted Husband, Well-behaved Kids, And A Lovely House. A Picture-perfect Existence Is Easy Money On Instagram, So Her Circle Of Friends In Their Little Irish Hamlet Seek Her Out For Advice On Mothering, Fashion, And Influencer Success. Yet Reality Is Less Polished When The Filters Are Off.
Now Comes Ciara’s Closest Friend, Mishti Guha. Mishti Was Accepted Into Ciara’s Inner Circle Since She Was…different From The Other Moms In The Group. But Since She Was Unhappy With The Marriage That Her Parents In Calcutta Had Planned For Her, Mishti Is Now Raising Her Little Daughter In A Place That Is Too Chilly, Amid The Kids Of Her New Acquaintances Who Don’t Look Anything Like Her. In That Regard, Mishti Could Be Just Like The Other Moms Because She Simply Wants What Ciara Has—the Ease With Which She Navigates The World.
There Is Also The Village Jokester And Earth Mother Lauren Doyle, Who Was Born And Raised There. They Are A Generally Happy Family With Her Messy Boyfriend And Children Who Play Nude In The Garden, Despite Being Excluded Since They Are The Only Disorder In Ciara’s Orderly Environment. Lauren Determines That Her Days Of Mockery Are Over As She Comes Upon An Unusual Friend In Mishti.
Suddenly Ciara Is Discovered Dead In Her Immaculate Home, And The Fragile Structure She Had Worked So Hard To Construct Falls Apart. Everyone Seems To Stand To Gain Something From Ciara’s Passing, So If Anybody Wants To Avoid Taking The Fall, Now Would Be The Ideal Moment To Reveal Their Adversaries’ Dirty Laundry.
Disha Bose Transforms Conventional Notions Of Love And Treachery In Her Stunning First Book. What Follows Is The Delectable Unravelling Of A Group Of Ladies Struggling To Survive.
Disha Bose Presently Resides In Ireland After Being Born And Reared In India. Before Leaving Her Job In It To Resume Writing, She Worked There. Her First Book Is Called Dirty Laundry.

Everyone Seemed To Stand To Benefit From Ciara’s Murder. Friends Turn To Enemies And Start Airing Each Other’s Dirty Linen In Order To Avoid Taking Responsibility.

The Stench Of Dirty Diapers, Detergent, And Oatmeal Filled The Home. It Used To Smell Like Patchouli, Filtered Coffee, And Black Opium From Yves Saint Laurent A Few Years Ago.
“I Abhor Him. I Detest Granny, Daddy, And You All. I Detest Him The Most Of All.”
You Don’t Mean That, Bella, I Said. Ciara Attempted To Reason With The Four-year-old, But She Knew It Was A Losing Battle.
She Was Gently Swinging The Infant Finn While Holding Him On Her Hip. This Was The Only Way She Could Keep Him From Turning Purple When He Was Much Younger And Constantly Wailed. She Wanted Not To Hold Him Often And Form Unhealthy Habits, But She Found Herself Longing To Cuddle Him Up Next To Bella.
“I Really Do, I Do. I Despise Him The Most.” Bella Gestured At Her Brother’s Unfazed Expression.
What Exactly Do You Want Me To Do In Response? Ciara Was Fixating On The Mound Of Clumped Tea Bags That Had Discoloured And Soiled The Marble Countertop. She Hadn’t Bothered Wiping The Surface Or Using A Dish To Dispose Of Them In A Few Days.
I’m Going To Shave His Head Of Hair.
To Face Her Daughter, Ciara Turned. She Had The Want To Pull Her Outside And Abandon Her In The Front Yard.
Howing. Tos Ing Thes Ing Ing Ing Ing Ing Ing. Ing Ing Ing Ing Ing. She Was Wearing A Hoodie That Fit Her Brand And A Pair Of Perfectly Appropriate Leggings, But Publically Reprimanding Her Kid Was Not. Her Kids Weren’t Renowned For Getting Into Trouble.
She Didn’t Have High Hopes When She Video Blogged About Her Six-step Skincare Routine A Year Ago, But It Quickly Became Popular. She Had Suddenly Become Popular On Instagram. She Emphasised Self-care And Looked Into Novel Methods To Take Care Of Skin, Such As Using A Jade Roller That Had Been Frozen To Tighten Pores On Her Face.
She Now Has Both Children And Knowledge Of Skin Care, Which Is All A Woman Could Want.
Her Most Recent Video, Which Was Released A Week Ago, Was Unique. She Had Provided A Glimpse Into Her Private Life For Her Admirers. Several Of Her Fans Had Praised Her For Her Candour And The Unpolished Nature Of The Video.
More Than Ever, It Was Essential That No One In The Community Noticed Anything Was Wrong. Even Though She Was No Longer In Charge, She Needed To Demonstrate Her Power.
As She Talked To Bella, Her Voice Sounded Torn And Emotional. Ciara Was Fairly Confident That She Had A Physical Protrusion Of Her Brain From Her Skull. She Couldn’t Let Anyone See Her In This Way.
It May Cast Doubt On What She Claimed In Her Video.
“Do It Now, Please. The Scissors Are At This Location. Haircut Your Brother. See What Transpires “At Her Daughter, She Growled. Half Expecting Bella To Do It To Make A Point, Her Heart Pounded.
On Times Like This, She Recognised Her Daughter As Her Own Self. With Identical Golden Hair, Oval Features, And Low-set Smiles, They Had A Striking Resemblance.
There Were Toys All Throughout Her Home Today. She Hadn’t Filled The Dishwasher With The Dishes, So It Was Overflowing In The Kitchen. Outside The Utility Room, A Laundry Basket Full Of Clothing Was Left On The Ground. She Didn’t Want To Bother Cleaning The Home At All If She Couldn’t Make It Appear Immaculate.
Bella’s Nose Widened. Her Cheekbones’ Tops Were Starting To Take On A Definite Plum Hue. Ciara Was Worn Out. They Had To Go Away And Let Her Alone. Each And Every Single One Of Them.
Finn Didn’t Say Anything. He Seemed To Be Writing Down This Event In His Mind As He Watched His Sister With Wide Eyes. At This Age, It Was Hard To Determine How Much He Truly Ingested. He Was Only A Year And A Half Old; Ciara Had A Few More Years Before She Had To Be Concerned About What He Would Develop Into. Bella Was Already Out Of Her Control At Age Four. Ciara’s Desire To Have Done Her Daughter Differently Was At The Top Of Her List Of Regrets. She Would Never Tell Anybody About It.
Ciara Turned And Headed For The Stairs As Bella Finally Gave Up, Sputtering And Blubbering In A Hot Pile Of Tears. Finn Needed To Take A Sleep. Bella Was Going To Cease Sobbing After Being Left Alone For A While, And She Would Have Gained Valuable Life Experience.
Ciara Wasn’t Going To Reward Her Kid For Behaving Like A Bitch, In Contrast To Other Moms Who Stroked And Comforted Every Cry.

Mothers, Friends, And Spouses, Ciara, Lauren, And Mishti Are All Three. In Spite Of This, The Ladies Living In Cork Are Not The Women You Would Imagine, And Neither Are The Secrets They Hold. We All Have Unfinished Business, But When Their Meticulously Constructed World Is In Danger, The Destruction Goes Beyond Scandal And Ends In Murder.
Willow And Lauren Walked To The Store. To The Only Actual Store In The Community, Which Was Tucked Between Two Bars Next To A Chipper. Even Though It Wasn’t A Very Lengthy Walk, They Chose The Shorter Path Through The Woods So Lauren Could Show Willow On Her Back The Various Trees And Flowers Along The Way. She Had Spent A Lot Of Her Youth Exploring These Forests Alone, So She Was Quite Familiar With Them.
They Passed By The Hooded Sweatshirt That Had Been Trodden On As Well As A Litter Of Pre-mixed Vodka Drink Cans, Cigarette Butts And An Old Tyre That Had Been Partially Torched. There Was A Strong Poop Odour All Around. The Village’s Teenagers Have Been Participating In The Same Extracurricular Activities For Years. As They Sped Passed, Lauren Sung To Willow To Keep Her Entertained.
She Took Her Time In The Store, Weaving Through Two Girls She Had Gone To School With. The Names They Had Made Up For Her When They Were Younger Were Still Fresh In Her Mind. Porridge Face. Laurie Has Hair. Pee Wee. They Hadn’t Either.
All Those Memories Had Come Flooding Back With Ciara’s Entry Into The Neighbourhood, And She Appeared To Have Given These Ladies New Motivation. Just When Lauren Believed They Were All Beyond It, It Seemed Like Ciara Had Granted Them All A Free Pass, Allowing Them To Act Like Teens Once Again. Despite Being Blow-ins, Ciara And Gerry Had Acquired The Most Desirable Home In The Area. The Others, Who Were All Following The Dunphys’ Example, Looked To Them As The Standard To Which They Aspired.
The Two Ladies Were Chatting By The Dairy Fridges While Lauren Stood Still In Front Of The Dry Fruit And Nut Aisle, Attempting To Blend In. They Were Talking About A Skincare Line That She Had Endorsed On Instagram When She Overheard Them Mention Ciara. Suddenly One Of Them Turned To Look And Saw Lauren. Lauren Quickly Clutched At Couple Bags Of Almonds As Their Eyes Met. The Ladies Shuffling Away Had Smug Expressions. Quickly Completing Her Purchasing, Lauren Payed At The Counter. Willow Was Complaining While Wearing A Sling On Her Back While The Other Ladies Had Already Left The Store. Lauren Was Anxious And Out Of Breath As She Walked Onto The Pavement. She Saw The Ladies In Their Automobiles, Seated. With Their Windows Down And Their Cars Parked On Opposite Sides Of The Busy Main Road, They Shouted At One Another As They Prepared To Depart. Lauren Raised Her Hand To Wave When They Saw Her Again Before She Could Stop Herself. When It Was Time, They Started Their Engines And Sped Away, Leaving Her Hand Hanging In The Air.
Like With Her Previous Pregnancy, Lauren Had A Natural Affinity Towards Motherhood. She Hadn’t Seen Herself Bearing Children When She Was A Young, Wide-eyed Girl Following Sean About Like A Disciple. She Had Just An Elder Brother As A Child, So She Knew Nothing About Parenting Children. She Had No Idea How Much They Had Needed To Be Held As Babies Or How Heartbreaking Their Screams Might Be. Also, It Had Taken Some Getting Acclimated To The Lack Of Sleep. Six Years Later, If She Was Able To Get More Than Four Hours Of Uninterrupted Sleep, She Would Awaken With What Felt Like A Hangover.
Despite The Difficulties, She Had Become A Mother Just As Effortlessly As She Had Fallen In Love With Sean. Being A Mother To These Three Kids And In Love With The Guy Who Had Fathered Them Was What She Was Intended To Do.
Yet, Sean Had Not Experienced Fatherhood So Rapidly. Lauren Saw The Sorrow On His Face When He First Held Freya. He Was Both Afraid Of The Mewing Creature In His Arms And Rushing Into A Level Of Love He Had Never Known Before. He Almost Threw Freya Back At Her.
Lauren Was Ready To Handle It By Herself. She Didn’t Anticipate Sean Wanting To Stay. She Didn’t Inquire About His Anticipated Return When He Informed Her At The Hospital That He Wanted Some Fresh Air. She Believed He Would Completely Depart The City Because He Needed To Be Away From Her And The Child. She Was Shocked When He Came Back Three Hours Later Still Smelling Like Smokes And Scotch. He Was Holding A Plush Bear In One Arm And A Bunch Of Flowers In The Other.
