When A Little Kid Discovers A Golden Ticket, He May Enter Willy Wonka’s Fantastical Chocolate Factory Even If All He Can Eat Is Cabbage Soup For Breakfast, Lunch, And Supper. Four Awful Scumbags—augustus Gloop, A Very Greedy Nincompoop; Veruca Salt, A Spoilt Brat;
Violet Beauregarde, A Disgusting Young Gum-chewer; And Mike Teavee, A Tv Addict—join Him On The Tour.charlie Has Never Seen Anything Like Mr. Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, Which Has A Chocolate River, Cunning Squirrels, And Enigmatic Oompa Loompas.
What Further Treats Await The Fortunate Ticket Winners? With The Addition Of Squelchy Sound Effects From Pinewood Studios, You May Now Listen To Charlie And The Chocolate Factory And Other Roald Dahl Audiobooks Being Read By Some Very Well-known Voices, Such As Kate Winslet, David Walliams, And Steven Fry.
In Addition To Being A Skilled Fighter Pilot, Roald Dahl Was Also A Medical Pioneer And Expert Spy. He Also Wrote Matilda, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Bfg, And A Host Of Other Outstanding Tales.
More Than 300 Books Have Been Drawn By Quentin Blake, Who Was Roald Dahl’s Favourite Artist. He Received The Coveted Kate Greenaway Medal In 1980. He Was Named The First-ever Children’s Laureate In 1999, And For His Contributions To Illustration, He Was Knighted In 2013.
Five Fortunate Kids And Their Parents Will Be Allowed Access To Mr. Willy Wonka’s Legendary Chocolate Factory, According To The Eccentric Proprietor. Mr. Wonka Comes Up With A Scheme To Bury Five Golden Tickets Under The Wrappers Of His Well-known Chocolate Bars In Order To Choose Who Would Be Allowed Entry Into The Factory. The Five Golden Tickets Are Being Sought After Quickly And Furiously. The First Ticket Is Opened By Augustus Gloop, A Fat Kid Whose Sole Pastime Is Eating, For Whom His Town Holds A Celebration. The Next Ticket Is Given To Veruca Salt, An Annoying Brat, By Her Father, Who Had Ordered His Whole Factory’s Peanut Shellers To Unwrap Chocolate Bars Until They Discovered A Ticket. In Between Attempts To Beat The Global Gum-chewing Record, Violet Beauregarde Finds The Third Ticket. Mike Teavee, Whose Name Indicates He Solely Cares About Television, Wins The Fourth Ticket.
The Unassuming Protagonist Of The Story, Charlie Bucket, Overcomes All Obstacles To Get The Fifth And Final Ticket. Charlie Bucket Is An Underprivileged But Moral Young Man Who Lives In A Small Home With His Parents, Mr. And Mrs. Bucket, And All Four Of His Grandparents. Charlie And His Parents Sleep On Floor Mattresses While His Grandparents Share The Lone Bed In The Home, Which Is Situated In The Only Bedroom. Charlie Only Receives Three Meagre Meals A Day, Which Is Insufficient To Sustain A Growing Youngster. As A Consequence, He Is So Thin That He Practically Looks Ill. Charlie Receives One Bar Of Wonka Chocolate On His Birthday Once A Year, Which He Enjoys Across Many Months. When Mr. Bucket Loses His Job, The Situation For The Bucket Family Becomes Much Worse. But Charlie Has A Great Turn Of Luck When He Discovers A Worn-out Dollar Note Hidden In The Snow. He Chooses To Give His Mother The Remainder Of The Money After Spending A Little Portion On Some Chocolate For Himself. Charlie Chooses To Purchase Just One More Chocolate Bar After Devouring The First One, And While Opening It, He Discovers The Fifth Golden Ticket. He Is Not A Second Too Soon, As Mr. Wonka Has Scheduled The Opening Of The Factory To His Visitors For The Next Day.
Charlie Cannot Go With Mr. Or Mrs. Bucket To The Workplace. In Order To Put Food On The Table, Mr. Bucket Must Look For Employment, And Mrs. Bucket Must Take Care Of The Grandparents Who Are Disabled. Grandpa Joe, The Oldest And Most Cherished Grandfather Of Charlie, Miraculously Gets Out Of Bed For The First Time In Decades. Charlie Has Become A Lively, Even Youthful Individual As A Result Of His Fortunate Discovery. Charlie And Grandpa Joe Started Their Journey.
Charlie And Grandpa Joe Are Astounded By The Incredible Noises, Sights, And Smells Of The Factory. The Other Four Kids Give In To Their Own Character Defects, In Contrast To How Appreciative And Respectful They Are Of Mr. Wonka And His Factory. They Are So Painfully And Mysteriously Expelled From The Workplace. While Trying To Consume The Hot Chocolate, Augustus Gloop Stumbles And Gets Sucked Up By One Of The Numerous Pipes. Veruca Salt Is Discarded With The Garbage After Being Labelled A “Bad Nut” By Squirrels Who Judge Nuts. Impulsively Grabbing A New Piece Of Gum, Violet Beauregarde Chews Herself Into The Size Of A Huge Blueberry. As A Result, She Gets Kicked Out Of The Factory. Mike Teavee Contracts Himself In An Effort To Appear On His Favourite Television, Forcing His Father To Take Him Outside In His Breast Pocket. Mr. Wonka Alienates The Parents By His Casual Response To The Seeming Death Of Each Kid Throughout The Ordeal. He’s Still Certain That Things Will Turn Out For The Best.
One Of My All-time Favourites Books To Read Is Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. The Protagonist Of The Tale Is A Small Boy Named Charlie Who Gets A Tour Of The World’s Most Exquisite Chocolate Factory, Conducted By Willy Wonka, The World’s Most Eccentric Candy Manufacturer. Willy Wonka Chooses To Unleash Five Golden Tickets In Five Different Chocolate Bars When He Decides To Allow Five Kids Inside His Chocolate Factory, Resulting In Full Mayhem. Charlie, Who Was Selected As A Fortunate Winner, Goes To The Workplace. We Come Into Many Interesting Personalities (Some Nice, Some Nasty) As They Tour The Factory And Get Entangled In Some Rather Sticky Circumstances. If You’re Looking For A Good Chuckle, This Book Is Wonderful!
This Book Was Fantastic To Read For A Variety Of Reasons. It Often Caused Me To Laugh Out, Which Is One Of The Key Reasons. I Laughed As I Saw Some Of The Characters Make Blunders And Get Themselves Into Difficult Circumstances Because They Are So Careless. The Story’s Conclusion Also Gave Me A Grin. This Book Has A Fantastic Finish, Which Is Something I Enjoy In Books.
Anyone Who Has Already Read Any Roald Dahl Works Should Pick Up This Book Straight Away. It Shares Humour With Matilda And James And The Giant Peach. Children From 8 Years Old And Above Will Be Very Thrilled By This Fantastic Book. Take Up Reading!
With My Kid This Evening, I Just Completed Reading Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. I’ve Only Ever Read A Chapter Book All The Way Through With Him, And This One. And It Was Very Enjoyable.
I’ll Start By Saying That I Adore The Film. With That, I Was Raised. (Of Course, I’m Referring To The Gene Wilder Version.)i’ll Even Confess That I Preferred The Movie To The Book. This Isn’t Something That Often Occurs With Me.
Having Said That, The Book Is Excellent. My Four-year-old Was Engaged By It. It’s Funny And Stupid.
And The Darkness.
Let Me Emphasise This For Those Of You Who Haven’t Read The Book. Dahl Goes To Great Lengths To Show How Charlie And His Family Aren’t Merely Hungry And Impoverished. They Are In Need. Charlie Snoozes On A Floor Mattress. They Are Starved To Death In The Winter And Are Chilly.
I’m Not Exaggerating If You Believe I’m On That Final Point. The Family Begins To Starve Is The Title Of One Of The Chapters.
But Guess What? That Makes This Book More Appealing To Me. It Is Not Inoffensively Bland Pablum That Has Been Sanitised By Committee. It Tells The Tale Of A Little Child Who, Despite Being In A Very Terrible Position, Remains Decent, Courteous, And Polite, And Then Something Incredibly Pleasant Occurs To Him.
That Is A Cliché I Can Support.
Is It A Worthwhile Book To Share With Your Children? Absolutely.
Having Stated That, Let Me To Digress And Express My Opinions As A Complete Fool:
Charlie Bucket May Not Be Starving To Death Now If Willie Wonka Genuinely Employed Employees And Gave Them A Decent Salary.
Observe Me Here. In Essence, Wonka Is Operating A Business Where Everyone Gets Paid In Scrip. The Oompa Loompas Are Compensated In Beans, To Put It Mildly. Beans That, According On My Assumption, He Has The Oompa Loompas Growing In A Vast Subterranean Cavern.
Let’s Not Even Discuss The Moral Minefield Of Wonka Enslaving And Uprooting A Whole Indigenous Civilization. Let’s Examine This Just From The Standpoint Of The Raw Data. Economics Alone.
The Factory Is Where The Oompa Loompas Work. The Don’t Get Paid. The Factory Is Their Only Home. Therefore, They Are Not Paying Rent. They Don’t Purchase Food. They Don’t Use Cabs, Go To The Movies Or Shop For Clothing.
However, Everyone Purchases Wonka’s Chocolate.
This Indicates That Money Enters The Industry But Does Not Leave For The Community.
Because Of This, The Local Economy Is Terrible. And As A Result, Charlie’s Dad Is Unable To Get A Respectable Position. Additionally, His Dad Loses His Low-paying Job As A Result Of This, And His Family Begins To Starve To Death.
Willy Wonka Is Not A Naive Magician. He’s A Rich, Corporate Dickhead. He Is Monsanto’s Candy Counterpart. There Is No Monitoring From The Government. That Shite Chocolate River And Boiling Sweet Boat Would Never Have Received Osha Approval. No. He’s Untouchable, Dude.
And Please Don’t Claim Otherwise. That Stuff With The Other Kids, You Know? No One Even considers Suing Him. No Parent Even Makes A Suggestion About It. He Most Likely Controls Half Of The State’s Judges As Well As A Few Senators.
He Is A True Supervillain. And I Would Pay Good Money To See A Batman Tale Where He Gets His Ass Kicked.
End Of Rant
Let Me Conclude By Sharing Something Oot Said As I Was Reading This Book To Him:
“While Willie Wonka Is Just An Ordinary Person, He is A Little Bit Of A Wizard Like You,” Said My Father.
