A Fascinating Inside Look At The Creation Of Cancer Drugs, Packed With Interesting Science And Human Drama!
Drama At A Biotech Business Is One Of The Few Things That I Like Reading About The Most. One Of My All-time Favourite Books To Read Is Still Bad Blood, Which Examines The Theranos Blood Testing Scam. I Thus Couldn’t Refuse When I Was Given The Opportunity To Examine This Startup’s Work On A Cancer Medication. This Modest Business First Created A Remarkable Cancer Cure. Researchers Who Were Essential To The Company’s Success But Were Fired Before Getting Substantial Remuneration Later Founded A New Business And Developed Another Profitable Medicine.
This Narrative Fulfilled All Of My Expectations. It Is Jam-packed With The High Stakes, Innovative Technology, And Compelling Characters That Make Me Like Books Of This Genre. Fortunately, There Was No Fraud And It Read Less Like A Thriller Than Bad Blood. However, The Author Made It Very Obvious How Crucial This Narrative Was—to Both The Scientists Involved And The Cancer Patients It Affected. I Was Unable To Put It Down!
To My Surprise, I Also Found It Fascinating To Learn About The Financial Aspect Of This Narrative. The Forbes Contributor Succeeded In Making The Story’s Business Aspects Highly Interesting. I Like Learning More About The Financing Process For Startups And Venture Investors. It Was Fascinating To See Established Businesses Battle To Buy Promising Startups. I Would Absolutely Suggest This To Any Other Fans Even If It Didn’t Have The Exact Same Vibe As Bad Blood But Had Many Components That Were Comparable.this Evaluation Was First Published On Doing Dewey.
Everyone Who Works In Cancer Centres, In My Opinion, Ought To Read This Book. It Was A Fascinating Look Into The Creation Of Ground-breaking Medicines And The Incredible Sums Of Money Investors And Pharmaceutical Firms Earn. After Reading This Book, I Still Have A Lot Of Ethical Problems That Need To Be Answered.
I Can Vouch For The Authenticity Of This Book Since I Have Worked In The Biotech Sector For More Than Ten Years. The Enormous Personalities, The Good Fortune, And The Herculean Work That Go Into Developing New Drugs Were All Well Described By The Author. Oh, Such A Novel. At 2 Am, I Completed The Book.
Fantastic Reading. Everyone In The Biotech Sector, Including Financiers And Drug Developers, Will Adore It.
What A Journey! Read This Book If The Biotech Sector Intrigues You.
At The Record, I Worked At J&j And Was A Member Of The Project Team For The Ibrutinib Drug Development Team, Representing One Of The Less Well-known Specialties, Preclinical Safety, Which Is Not Even Mentioned In The Book. A Large Portion Of The Knowledge In This Book Was Firsthand Or Almost So. There Were No Obvious Mistakes Or Misrepresentations That I Could Find. (However, In My Opinion, Some Of The Principals’ Negative Behaviours Were A Little Exaggerated—public Rage Outbursts Were Regrettably Rather Typical With This Team And Leadership.)
But The Narrative In The Book Is True.
Are The Principals Just Smart People, Or Did They Just Get Lucky? Even If There Are Those Who Are Clever And Creative, They Generally Just Got Fortunate. They Chose A Resource That Had Been Overlooked By Everyone Else, And It Worked. Over The Course Of My More Than 30 Years In The Business, I Have Been Engaged In Hundreds Of Small Molecule Drug Discovery And Development Programmes. Each Programme Has A Team Of Individuals Who Are Committed To Its Potential To Save Lives. The Only Two I Was Directly Engaged In That Really Crossed The Finish Line Was Ibrutinib. The Reason For This Is Because It Does Save Lives. One Of The Pleasures Of My Career Was Working On This Medication, And The Wild Trip I Had With Many Of The Individuals In This Book Only Served To Make It More Special. Of Course, I Didn’t Get Wealthy With This Programme; That’s Not The Case For Me. The J&j Employees Were Paid, But Pcyc Stock Was Not.
As A Chemist Who Is Acquainted With Btk Inhibitors, This Narrative Helped To Illuminate A Somewhat Different Aspect Of The Medication. Although I Hadn’t Considered The Drug’s Financial Background, It Was Nonetheless Intriguing To Read.
